About Rachel

I grew up in Germany in a lively German-Italian/Spanish family,
living in a beautiful little town close to Frankfurt am Main. I gained a Degree in Management Assistant for Wholesale and Foreign Trade, International Business, Trade and Tax law, and worked for wholesale companies and small trade businesses,
and also gained my Real Estate License in my mid-twenties.

I met my husband when I was working
as a real estate agent at 27, and became
a mother of two beautiful children.

In 2007, we decided to take a break from a busy self-employed lifestyle and moved to beautiful New Zealand as a family with young children.

Since my early twenties, I have been interested in natural remedies, medicinal herbs and holistic healing. My original plan was to become a Naturopath but through circumstances and life events my naturopathy journey stopped half way through my studies. After working for an organic company for a decade and seeing how a healthy lifestyle, the right diets and medicinal herbs and supplements can make an immense impact on ones healing journey or vitality and quality in life, I picked up my studies again and changed careers.
Some of my qualifications I gained over the years are:
NZ Diploma in Clinical Advanced Hypnotherapy
NZ Diploma in Life Coaching and several other certificates in different life coaching styles
Health and Wellbeing Coaching Certificate
NZ PreKure Certificate in Health Coaching Science
Dr. Wendy Sweet, NZ Certificate in Menopause Weight-loss Coaching
After losing my partner to cancer and navigating through that stressful time and grief, I started to battle more and more of all sorts of odd symptoms. I was 47 at the time and doctors literally laughed me off and left me hanging. The symptoms ranged from recurrent bladder infections, headaches, dizziness, tinnitus, digestive issues, and abdomen pains to sudden new allergies, anxiety, nightly hot-flushes, raving hunger pains, weight gain, constant mood swings, insomnia and more.
However, 6 years later, when joint pains, muscle weakness (although I have done weight training for several years) joint the long list of odd symptoms, I learned that the symptoms I experienced for nearly a decade were not just in "my head" nor from IBS or "just getting old" but were indeed from hormonal imbalance caused by perimenopause transitioning to menopause.
I consider myself lucky that I came across Dr. Wendy Sweet because it changed my life. She is a New Zealand based doctor who has spent decades researching Menopause science and offers a comprehensive and in depth training in menopause coaching and menopause weight-loss coaching, that I completed. In addition I gained the highly recognised NZ Prekure qualification to practice Health and Wellbeing Coaching.
And finally it brings all my skill sets together under one wonderful umbrella as a certified Health and Wellbeing Coach, specialised in Women's health. I believe that a holistic approach is always the best way to find and address root causes to be able to learn, eliminate, improve or heal any condition in life.
As a woman knowing how hard and deliberating it is to go through the bumpy transition from perimenopause to post menopause with all the weird symptoms from unexplainable weight gain, achy joints, hot flushes to insomnia and gut health issues, and so many more, I am dedicated to become an expert in "everything menopause and beyond”.
The best way to live a long happy healthy life will be one without aches and pains, but with lots of energy to be able to move around freely and with joy.
I hope that my life experiences and expertise, my passion and zest for life and helping others, helps to create more happiness and a brighter future for many, and is an inspiration and support to others.
